My Professional Background

I am Alicia Wood, a Life Purpose Coach, certified by the Life Purpose Institute. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from  Oswego State University.  For many years I was a team leader for The Pampered Chef, where I developed the desire and skills to coach the members of my team to many successes.   My personal and professional experiences have made me into the kind of Life Coach that is able to help people break through barriers and achieve success and harmony throughout various aspects of their own lives.  I am located in Syracuse, the heart of Central New York.  

My Personal Background

After putting myself through college I wanted to be a high school Social Studies teacher, but when I actually started to do it as a profession I realized it wasn’t exactly what I wanted out of life.  I met Roger and in 1997 we were married.That year our daughter was born and life and our family felt complete. I set aside my career to raise her, but we still needed additional income. That was when I discovered The Pampered Chef. I became a Pampered Chef Director, and had the pleasure of working with others to help them succeed in the business. I loved encouraging my team and I think I enjoyed their successes more than they did. Well, almost!

Five years ago I unexpectedly lost my husband. What was life going to be without him? I was still mother to our daughter, but now I was sole provider. For a while I was utterly lost, heartbroken, and terrified. I never wanted anyone else to feel that way, or if they did to know they were not alone. It was then I realized my life’s purpose: To empower others to empower themselves. I started my training as a Life Purpose Coach in 2008, and with the wonderful results I was seeing  from clients and the constant reassurance and support of my family and friends, I realized I had found my calling in life. Now I am a loving partner to my wonderful man Mark, and mom/stepmom to 3 great kids. I feel blessed I can do something that brings so much meaning into my life, and I have a family to share it with. Our journey is just beginning! Where will your path lead?
